My 3rd Stitch Fix

On Saturday, I received my 3rd Stitch Fix. I know I didn't post my 2nd Stitch Fix, but I did not like any of my items in that Fix. I didn't feel good in them and they just weren't my style.

This time around I got a new stylist. She did an amazing job! Hopefully I get to keep her! :-)

When I first opened this Fix, I was intrigued by some pieces and unsure of a few others.

Item #1: Papermoon Riley Graphic Print Cardigan ($38.00)

I love this cardigan. During the Fall season, I enjoy wearing oversized sweaters and cardigans. This one had a funky print on it, similar to some of the items I pinned on Pinterest. I can't wait till it gets cold enough to wear it.

Item #2: Market and Spruce Yuna Chevron Pointelle Knit Sweater ($68.00)

I wasn't too excited about this piece when I first pulled it out of the box. I didn't like that the chevron detailing was actually holey so that you could see right through it. However, when I paired it with my brown leggings, brown riding boots, and some matching accessories, I felt that it belonged with me. The sweater material is super soft. I am not a big fan of scratchy sweaters.

Item #3: Pixley Edmond Chevron Print Henley Shirt ($54.00)

I love Henleys!!! I used to wear them all the time in middle school/ high school. This one is super soft and stretchy. I paired it with gray dress pants, my sparkly bow flats, and purple jewelry. I see myself wearing this to work quite often.
-If you work with me pretend you didn't already see and compliment anyway. Lol. :-)

Item #4: 41 Hawthorn Filbert 3/4 Sleeve Popover Blouse ($58.00)

When I saw the color of this shirt, I loved it! However, when I first put it on I didn't like the sleeves. They have a tulip (or what I would call a tulip) cut to them. So, I took it off and put it back in the box. Today, I put it on again, paired it with beige dress skinny pants, nude high heels, and matching jewelry and feel in love. I think it gives a classic elegant feel when worn this way. Although I probably will have to find something other than high heels to wear with it.

Item #5: Bay to Baubles Lavana Crystal and Bauble Necklace ($28.00)

When I first saw this necklace, I was wondering what I would wear with it. It has big clear gemstones in the center with orange and gold beads hanging down. After I raided my closet to find pieces that would go with this, I knew this piece was TOTALLY ME! I love anything sparkly and jewelry. This piece was BOTH!!! I also love how chunky of a piece it is.

The Breakdown:

Market and Spruce Yuna Chevron Pointelle Knit Sweater----Kept
Pixley Edmond Chevron Print Henley Shirt----Kept

Weekly Summer Linky: Random Act of Kindness

I have been linking up with Monica from I Heart Grade 3 from the very beginning of my little blog.
This week her topic was:

A Random Act of Kindness I Have Given x 2:

My first random act of kindness was to a waitress at Ruby Tuesdays. My husband (than fiancé) and I were celebrating me getting my first real teaching job one Saturday a few summers ago.

Normally when we go to restaurants, we are a young couple and usually do not make connections with the server.

However, on this day a young girl about our age ended up being our server. Through the course of our meal we interacted with her. Of course my husband being the goofball that he is.

Eventually, we found out that she was trying to make her way through college working three jobs. (Now I know you might be thinking, Yeah right she was just trying to get some money out of you) Regardless we gave her a $100.00 tip for our $30-$40 lunch/dinner.

I wrote a note on our receipt telling her to keep her head up and smile because life will get easier. We put it in the payment sleeve (is that what you call it???) and left quietly.

As we were getting into our car, she came running across the parking lot to thank us! We didn't expect to be thanked but we know that we made her day better and brighter.

My second story:

My husband works as a pipeliner and there are times when he comes through the door covered from head to toe in mud.

So, instead of ruining my washer and dryer we take them to the Laundromat.

After we are done and are getting ready to leave. I will go around to a couple washers and put in quarters for a free wash. No one has ever caught me doing this, but I would like to think that it makes someone's day better. Maybe they forgot their quarters at home, maybe they don't have enough money to do their clothes but I provided some relief.

I can't wait to read about everyone else's random act of kindness stories.

Assess Me: Week 2

I am linking up again with Rachel from The Tattooed Teacher for another one of her "assessments". :-)

This one is gonna be fun!!!

Alright I may have to explain a few.....
1.) I live in jeans or shorts. I have I believe 3-5 skirts in my whole wardrobe. The only skirts I LOVE are maxi skirts.
2.) I have a collection of earrings, ranging from funky to classic.
3.) Conan is just hilarious. Enough said. :-)
4.) I love silver although the lady behind the jewelry counter said gold goes with my skin tone. :-/ Ugh the inner struggle.....
5.) Country born and raised and that's where I will always be. :-)
6.) I love doing my shopping online...QVC anyone? :-)
7.) Self-explanatory
8.) I have difficulty trusting a lot of people. If I am close to you and share my stories than you have earned my trust.
9.) I love going away on vacation, but I think I get more excited to be coming home. I could stay at home all the time. :-)
10.) I don't really like a lot of breakfasty type food. I used to eat leftovers from dinner for breakfast. Now I drink Shakeology and it curbs my hunger and gives me something to look forward to every morning.
11.) I am a coffee addict. I like the pumpkin spice latte around fall (should be soon). My favorite is the Iced Coffee you can buy at the grocery store in Mocha. If you haven't tried it and are an iced coffee lover you definitely should.
12.) Early bird all the way. In the summer time I get up at 5:30-6:00 and start my day off right by exercising. The only downfall is that I feel tired around 9:00.
13.) Done up. I love being put together and looking pretty. However, if you see me at Walmart on the weekend/after work I very rarely look fancy. :-)
14.) This one was tough. Mother Nature is beautiful and lightening is one of her splendors. As long as it stays far away and lets me admire it from a distance. :-)
15.) I love both equally although my flats are the only ones that love me back. :-)
16.) I love riding in the car. I have never been in an airplane and trains are cool. But I love just being able to hop in the car and go.
17.) I don't really like either show enough to pick. Now ask me about HGTV shows and I have a definite opinion. Love it or List It VS. Love it or List It Too. The original is always the best.
18.) Central Air. I do not like crowds that much and Central Park just seems like it would be crowded.....

Thank you Rachel for your awesome questions! Can't wait for the next one!! :-)

So here is my list of 3 things that I/You can use in the classroom.

I love the Super Hero theme and this is a great way of managing behavior. It's a great idea!

These would be amazing to get/give. It contains little goodies sometimes with special meanings or items that the teacher would specifically like. I know I would love to receive one of these.

The first day of school is always filled with anxiety, nerves, and excitement. I love having some type of fun activity for the students to do. These are some great ideas. My personal favorite is the jitter glitter. :-)

Free T-Shirt

You get a free t-shirt! You get a free t-shirt! EVERYONE gets a free T-SHIRT!!!

Yes, I'm channeling my inner Oprah!

I came across this great company, A+ Images and they were doing a promotion. If you are a blogger, you can design a free blog t-shirt. I couldn't pass that up because even if I didn't like my design, I still got a free t-shirt out of the deal.

So, I went through the quick and easy process here A+ Images and in a few days I got my t-shirt. I could not be happier with the way it turned out.

I also have to say that since my button and header were small a nice lady, Elisha emailed me to ask some more questions so that she could get the image clearer.

I love my shirt sooooo much and can't wait to wear it!!!

There are so many options that A+ Images can do. Give them a try.
You can also follow them on: Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram

August Currently

Am I the only one wondering where the summer has gone?!?!? Holy moly!
It's AUGUST!!!

I only have a few more weeks until I will back in the swing of things. Does anyone else have that feeling that they forget how to teach over the summer?

I told my hubby last night that I love/hate his birthday. Love it because it is a day to celebrate the amazing man that has been brought into my life. Hate it because it reminds me that summer is almost over. :'-(

Today, I am linking up with Farley over at Oh Boy 4th Grade to show you what is currently going on in my little life.

Listening: There is nothing going on around me right now. It's kind of relaxing. Except for the buzzing of the air conditioners, that's really all I hear.
Loving: Everywhere you look there are back to school ads, sales, and displays. I love it!!! :-) I too am in the back to school mode.

Thinking: My closet has been driving me crazy this summer. I have too many clothes.....(I know I shouldn't complain) However, it is like an avalanche every time I go to open it.

Wait! Don't go in there! Oh no!

Wanting: We (my fellow teachers and I) have not been able to get into our classroom because we are building a new school and it isn't ready yet. So, I have been anxiously awaiting an email to say that we are finally allowed in. I may check my email 5 billion trillion times a day.

Needing: The big Back to School sale is happening tomorrow and Tuesday (Aug. 3rd and 4th) over at Teachers Pay Teachers. I have a few items that I would like to get done before the sale. However, I don't know if this will happen or not.

Back to School RAK: I love this idea! I always give my teacher friends goodies around the holidays. I have never thought about giving gifts at the beginning of the year. I will most likely put together a small bag of goodies (either candy or cookies) with something else. I also plan on helping out some teachers at my school get their rooms ready.

This is what I am up to currently for the month of August. Can't wait to read what every one else is up to!
